Demitart Gourmet (aka Norma G’s) was accepted as a food vendor for the 2014 Downtown Street Eats at Cadillac Square in downtown Detroit–an event put on by Rock Ventures. We will have a food booth the week of June 16 through June 27. Hours of operation are during lunch time, Monday through Friday from 11 am-2 pm.

All of our dishes are under $10, so it’s a great value to try authentic Caribbean dishes inspired by islands such as Trinidad and Tobago.

The menu is as follows:

Chicken Pelau –Marinated chicken sautéed and blended with pigeon peas, squash, red bell pepper and rice…baked to perfection….$8.50

Stewed Chicken – Marinated chicken seared and browned until tender in a brown gravy with baby carrots (served with jasmine scented rice)….$7.95

Curry Chicken – Succulent pieces of dark meat marinated and slowly cooked in a curry sauce and served with jasmine scented rice….$8.50

Trinidad Black Cake – It’s not Christmas, but this moist rum cake will make you feel warm and festive….$3.50
